Vinculum presents itself as a meeting point, a space for dialogue between electronic music and the natural and cultural heritage of Mondim de Basto. A gathering where everyone is invited to engage with the musical proposals and the surrounding environment, to enjoy an experience that deeply connects us to the location as a whole, through music and dance. On the 19th, 20th and 21st of July, the town of Mondim de Basto, district of Vila Real, will host the Vinculum Festival once again. An event dedicated to the emerging languages of arts and dance music. The 3-day festival will cover the rhythms of electro and breaks, going through the deep, minimal and hypnotic techno, micro and deep-house, ambient and experimental music, and everything else we find in between.

The Vinculum Festival stage concept centres around sustainable, industrial-inspired design using IBC (Intermediate Bulk Container) liquid containers as the core structural element. This innovative approach emphasizes practicality, affordability, and environmental consciousness, capturing the raw, gritty energy of industrial aesthetics.
Each IBC container’s metal frame plays a dual role, providing both structural integrity and an arresting visual centrepiece. This unique choice enables a modular setup that’s easy to assemble, transport, and reconfigure as needed. By using everyday industrial materials, the stage design speaks to a commitment to reuse and accessibility, making it a perfect fit for the dynamic and evolving atmosphere of the festival.
The IBC containers also help create a sense of depth and layering, with the metallic textures and grid-like frames adding rhythm and contrast to the stage. Together, these elements form an inviting yet edgy space that immerses audiences in the essence of the Vinculum Festival.
